Heat exchangers

Heat exchangers – the best means of creating a comfortable environment

Heat exchangers are pieces of equipment with which heat is transmitted from one medium to another. They are mostly used in air conditioning and central heating. The most frequent areas of use for heat exchangers range from the installation of floor heating units, connecting solar installations, and to warm swimming pools.

These special pieces of equipment are presented in several models such as multi-tab, plate and coaxial. The multi-tab heat exchangers are constructed from a beam pipe, fitted between two hollow tiles, and enclosed in a housing provided with covers. The plate heat exchangers are made from the combination of plates that form a space between them. That space acts as a tunnel that lets the mediums travel and change the heat. The plate exchangers are smaller and lighter than conventional ones, and they can be distinguished because of the ease of installing and maintaining. They are compact, have a flexible design, and are economical, in terms of cost and efficiency. Lastly, the coaxial heat exchangers are used especially for liquid-to-liquid transfer.

The most common utilization for Water to Air Heat Exchangers are water, steam, flue gas and air. When using exchangers to transfer the heat from water, the main advantage is the high coefficient of heat exchange, the low cost and low heat loss of the entire process. The advantages of using steam as heat transfer are the low cost and the high heat coefficient. In the case of using it for flue gas, the main advantage is that the temperature is independent of the pressure, allowing their use at high heat.

The main advantages of the heat transfer equipment are their high performance at thermal temperatures, the fact that they are compact and their multi-hollow construction. The main disadvantage is that can be maintained only by chemical cleaning.
